Shyamananda Das, a 52-year-old Hindu priest was hacked to
death by three unknown men at his temple in Bangladesh's southwestern district
of Jhenaidah early Friday June 1 while he was gathering
flowers likely to be
offered in prayers at the temple police said.
According to an eyewitness, Kanjilal, three men rode up on
one bicycle wearing helmets, they jumped off from the bicycle, attacked the
priest with matchet and then rushed away.
He was gathering flowers, likely to be offered in prayers at
the Sri Sri Radha Madan Gopal Bigrohomot temple, when the attack took place,
Gopinath Kanjilal, Assistant Superintendent of Police of Jhenaidah district,
Sador circle told CNN.
No arrest have been made so far.
