Kingsley, a middle aged young man was mobbed by angry traders for allegedly buying goods with fake naira notes at Swali ultra-modern market in Bayelsa state. The young trader who went to
purchase goods in the market with the fake notes met his waterloo on Wednesday when he presented the counterfeit notes to one of the traders after purchasing goods worth N100,000.
According to eyewitness, it was gathered that out of the N100,000 Kingsley paid, N63,000 was discovered to be fake, as he was about to leave. The seller discovered the fake currencies and raised alarm which led to him being beaten to pulp by a group of traders after he was caught.
He was said to have been saved by some concerned trader who had prevented the angry crowd from setting him ablaze. Some of the traders said he has become notorious with this act of buying goods in large quantiles with fake naira from unsuspecting traders and was handed over to the police.
