The Governor of Lagos state, Ambode Akinwumi yesterday commissioned the inauguration of security equipment at TBS in Lagos state. It was further demonstrated with results to strengthen the
capacity of the security agency with 140 brand new vans, 335 power bikes fitted with communication gadgets, helmet, bullet proof vest and other kits which total cost of #1.85 billion.
According to the governor, this vehicles and equipment will be distributed among the 107 police stations in Lagos state and 13 police command in the state. Other beneficiaries are, the Nigeria customs, immigration services, the Nigeria army, air force, navy, GSS, civil defense, AIG zone two, federal road safety corps, lastma, NDLEA, Lagos state task force and the Nigeria prison services.
Among the attendees were, vice president of Nigeria, commissioner for special duties, Olusege Oladejo, former governor of lagos state and now the minister of power works and housing - Babatunde Fashola, First lady of lagos state, deputy to governor, Ministers and honourable minister of lagos state of assembly.
The inuguration was further spiced up with entertainment from various Nigeria artist including Banky w, Chidinma, Phyno and Olamide.
