T.C. Chairman saves two suspected thieves from being burnt alive in Imo state.

But for timely intervention of the local government chairman, Hon Chike Orjiako, these half-dead alleged thieves would have been burnt to death. The chairman rescued them from the fiery furnace at
Alaojii Aba branch Ehime Mbano LGA after the efforts of the police proved abortive.

The alleged machine thieves were chased by commercial motorcyclists from Oriagu market and nature caught up with them at Aba branch. The thieves were brutally beaten to coma and about to be set ablaze when the police arrived. The mob threatened to attack and burn their vehicle. However, when their efforts were aborted by the brazenly angry mob, the police withdrew.

When the information got to the T.C chairman of Ehime Mbano, he forthwith moved to the venue. It was only by God's grace that he was able to talk to the war-ready youths and they stayed action. When he needed support to evacuate the victims out of the location before the youth changed their mind, the police were no where to be found because they didn't want to risk going there again.

However, the prompt call put across to the commissioner of police by Hon Chike was the only thing that brought the police back. Meanwhile, the victims were assumed dead until revived by a doctor, they are presently recuperating pending when the wrath of the law will be unleashed on them.

This is what the DPO Ehime Mbano had to say after the bizarre: " HON CHAIRMAN, I AM VERY GRATEFUL TO YOU FOR YOUR PROMPT AND KIND ASSISTANCE IN RESCUING THOSE TWO BOYS AND YOUR QUICK RESPONSE TO THE DOCTOR WHICH LED TO THEIR ADMISSION AND TREATMENT. I REMAIN GRATEFUL TO YOU THANKS"

What touched me most was how the younger victim whose mother was said to be in the hospital was yelling at the elderly one. " see what you have caused me, I was foolish to be beguiled by you, look at where I have landed chai". He was saying that while some sympathizers who knew him not were crying.

Please youths youth know that no matter the level of economic recession, a crime still remains a crime.
