The World's oldest man' celebrates 146th birthday!


Born in the year 1870, Saparman Sodimejo, celebrated his landmark birthday in the company of family in a small village in Central Java province, Indonesia. Popularly known as Mbah Gotho, the
old man begun preparing for his death in 1992, even having a gravestone made, but 24 years later he is still alive.

Indonesian records office has confirmed Gotho?s birth date as December 31 1870.

The Centenarian has outlived all 10 of his siblings as well as his four wives, the last of whom died in 1988. All of his children have also died, and now he is survived by his grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren according to Daily Mail.

Mbah Gatho is 19 years older than the official oldest recorded person, Jeanna Calment, who died in 1997
