The Bride's refusal to swear allegedly puts an end to her wedding ceremony. According to an eye witness, the bride was given a cup of palm wine as the normal ceremonial rite to be performed on her
wedding which she must take to her husband by swearing an oath of faithfulness to her husband. Bride was silent to the oath which ended her day.
