The building was said to have collapsed killing one of the resident yesterday at Ikeja. The deceased, identified as Mrs Faisa was inside the building when the incident happened, the collapsed building
was caused by a landslide which occurred in the area. Rescue operators and officers of the Nigeria police reportedly stormed the area to ensure safety of lives and properties. The body of the deceased was being carried away to a mortuary.
The Lagos state commissioner for Environment, Babatunde Adejare also visited the scene of the incident to sympathize with the community while advising the residents in the area to evacuate adding that the structures would be demolished soon.
