The accident which was involved with the Dangote truck and
three other vehicles was said to have claimed the lives of 8 people on
Wednesday. The truck which was conveying its passengers at Kapiri
Mposhi, Zambia, lost control due to over speeding while trying to overtake the two vehicles in front as an oncoming vehicle had emerged on the opposite lane causing the truck to hit a car from behind forcing it off the road.

The truck driver had miscalculated the distance as he was
trying to overtake the vehicles in front and further went ahead to hit another
minibus killing 8 people at spot. Zambia's Road Transport and Safety Agency
(RTSA) said it was caused by the driver of the truck who had misjudged the
distance when overtaking.
