President Buhari who had previously planned a visit to launch the Ogoniland clean up canceled his trip for the safety of his life as he was appealed and advised not to go by some people. The list of
them are; Asiwaju Bola, Ahmed Tinubu, Rotimi Amechi, Goodluck Jonathan, Elder Clerk, NSA, Olusegun Obasanjo, Gov Oshiomole of Edo state.
The appeal was based on the idea that any attempt, either failed or successful on Mr president's life while in Niger Delta will spell doom for the country as there would be reprisal attack on southerners in the North and may increase insecurity in the country
