Man raises alarm against the disorder that killed his brother




Fayode Adedayo, who had recently returned to Nigeria from Canada raised awareness against Stevens -Johnson syndrome (SJS) -a form of toxic epidermal necrolysis life threatening skin
condition in which a dead cell causes the epidermal to separate from the dermis. The condition is often a sever reaction to some medication.

The said syndrome which had killed his brother, Adeyosola 27, on march 20, 2012 in Lagos six months after the birth of his son was contaminated after administering free health services to the HIV patients. He noticed blood on his hands after treatment and experienced a severe skin reaction. In two weeks he died.

Before the contraction, Adeyosola who was a Uk trained medical doctor and a marathoner began a 717km long treck from Abuja on Friday May 13 and finished about 1:30 on Monday May 16 in lagos at the Gani Fawehinmi Fredom park Ojota to combat the spread of the syndrome. He later told newsmen that his effort were bound to told dividend to combat the syndrome.
