Child falls into Gorilla Exhibit!

A little boy was said to have fallen into the Gorilla exhibit through an enclosure in the Miami zoo. The gorilla which was a 17 year old western lowland dragged the little boy away from the screaming
crowd. In order to save the little boy, the zoo's team dangerous animal response team shot at it.

The communications director, Ron Magill, says it was the best action to take considering the child's safety instead of tranquilizing the gorilla which might take some time and may pose severe threat to the child's life. The child was with the gorilla for more than 10 minutes before he was rescued and sent to the hospital in serious condition.

The zoo which has been opened for 38 years says this is the first incident of its kind. Although, the zoo is currently open but the gorilla exhibit is closed, unclear when it will reopen.
